Established in 2013 by Henry McCambridge, our boutique company has built a reputation for pushing the boundaries of architectural glass design, offering personalised service and innovative products that elevate spaces across New Zealand.

Henry’s journey began in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, where he honed his skills as a builder and joiner in Belfast. After years of mastering his craft in London, he moved to New Zealand and spent 15 years as a Sales Manager for Euroglass, collaborating with architects and builders on high-end architectural homes. Driven by a desire to offer honest, reliable expertise and more personalised service, Henry founded TFGC Ltd trading as The Frameless Glass Company, which rebranded as Glass by Design in 2023 to better reflect our vision and creativity.

By 2023, we had rebranded and embraced new opportunities, including a European buying trip to Italy to visit the prestigious Henryglass operations. Inspired by their exceptional design and craftsmanship, we introduced the exclusive Henryglass door collection to the New Zealand market in 2024, redefining what’s possible in architectural glass.

Our team thrives on innovation, continually researching trends and technologies to stay ahead of the curve. From introducing the Henryglass door collection from Italy to delivering cutting-edge architectural glazing, we are passionate about transforming ideas into reality.

Beyond our work, we’re a close-knit team that values camaraderie and collaboration. Whether it’s fishing trips, golf tournaments, or simply sharing stories over a summer BBQ, our bond strengthens our ability to create exceptional results for our clients.
